In June 2000, a wedding was being planned between two people of the same religion but with very little religious faith. They wanted to introduce some traditions into the ceremony but at the same time make the wedding less formal and about their own feelings. Having looked through wedding magazines and on the Internet, they found that whilst some traditional weddings were featured so many others were not. What they needed was one port of call where they could find the wedding that they wanted, read about the various traditions and select the ones that they felt represented them. From this, Which Wedding was born.
